Foot Detox: What Are The Different Types And Benefits?
With the current generation being very particular with their health, a lot of people are aware of what foot detox is and what it can do for their wellbeing. But there are still more than a few that are unaware of this process of detoxification of the body and foot cleansing, which involves different types such as detox foot patches or pads, and foot bath. It is believed that our body is filled with toxins due to the unhealthy foodstuffs that we eat everyday, extreme lifestyles (too much drinking of alcohol, smoking, doing drugs, etc), the environment that we live in and not performing regular exercises can lead to various diseases and health conditions.
Different Types and Benefits
Foot detox as aforementioned is performed to remove the toxins from our system by just sitting there and letting modern medicine do the job. Again, there are different types which the functions and benefits will be discussed. These are:
- Patches or pads – this is the dry type of removing toxins by placing adhesive patches on the soles of your feet overnight. The next morning the patches you will see that the patches has changed its color which is said to be due to the toxins that has been removed from your body. It is composed of natural ingredients such as vegetable fibers, chitosan, wood and bamboo vinegar, vitamin C, loquat lead extract, tourmaline, dextrin and dokudami.
- Bath – this is the wet type of toxin removal because you soak you feet in a detox machine that is filled with water. The water is later on charged with high levels of negative ions, combining osmosis, ionization, and reflexology to generate a positive cellular environment to boost the body’s natural detoxification process. With repeated use it softens the soles of your feet especially if you are suffering from calluses.
According to studies these processes alleviates the symptoms of chronic fatigue, insomnia, difficulty concentrating, obesity, low immune system, eczema and psoriasis, poor circulation, arthritis, heavy metal toxicity, parasites, allergies, high pH levels, and candida. There are a lot more health benefits that you can possibly experience through these methods.

Just by simply caring for your feet will result to relief from a wide variety of problems. Remember the feet are the most active part of your body. Pampering them through different methods such as foot detox may seem impractical at times but they are actually worth every dime.
