Ventilation Air

Danby Air conditioner – fresh air ventilation switch – push or pull?
I have the Danby DAC9006DE and it has a Fresh Air Ventilation Switch. The manual says this switch should be open for Fan Only Operation but it does not say if the switch is open when pulled inward or pushed back toward the unit.
I would think that you push the switch to close the vent.
