Gas Furnace, Elec Ignition lights but blows cold air, suggestions?
I have a relatively new furnace, about 2 years. I have cleaned out the burner and cleaned out the valve assembly as best as I can. When I first started it wouldn’t even ignite but after an initial cleaning it now lights so I think I’m on the right path here. Any suggestions on something I could be missing?
As I mentioned in the topic, the furnace IS igniting, the gas is flowing and it is burning.
gas pressure may be to low, or fan speed may be set too high. If its a new furnace though this things are usually set right from the factory or dummy proffed. The regulator in the gas valve maintains a 3.5 “wc which its suppose to and the blower is set to low speed as needed.
With a newer system it may be a low fire / high fire or a two stage furnace and you may only be running low fire, if it wasn’t installed correct. Look at the circuit board and you’ll see a W or W1, look and see if there is also a W2. If so while its burning you could take a wire and jump or touch W1 to W2. See if it fires up if so it may not be wired correctly from the thermostat.
