water well surface mounted jet pump. cycling on and off at about 30 minute period.?
does this indicate a problem? if so what needs correcting? pump, air tank etc.
It has to be that the pressure is leaking down in the pump tank. Either going to your home or back into the well. If you have a shut off valve going to the home you might close it and see if it still cycles. If not it would indicate the leak is in the line going to or in your home. if it does still cycle it could be a faulty foot valve check valve or a leak in the line going to it. You could shut the pump motor off, drain the pressure and remove the priming cap. Wait for a length of time and see if any water has drained back into the well.
