Green Silicon Carbide Sintering Flour Now Available For Online Purchasing
Due to demand, Industrial Supply, Inc. is now offering online ordering of small quantities of Green Silicon Carbide 0.5 micron sintering flour.
Many companies have asked for a standard sintering flour product, for use while formulating and developing their own sintering process. This is valuable for companies just starting out with the development of their own process.
Offering five lb order quantities removes one of the main hindrances of testing new applications and product development, that being cost. Industrial Supply, Inc. will work to custom tailor the flour according to their needs, assuming changes to the powder’s particle distribution is preferred.

Also new for sale online is our boron carbide sintering aid, which is typically added to the Green SiC flour at a 2% by weight:
- Green SiC is made from Silica sand and coke, and is extremely pure.
- Hexagonally shaped, it breaks into very sharp particles.
- Our green SiC is 99.5% pure
- Green SiC is harder than black, coming in at a 9.4 Mohs and 2600 on the Knoop scale.
- Green is often the media of choice when it comes to wire sawing (JIS 800, JIS 1000, JIS 1200, JIS 1500)
- Green SiC can be graded per your specs given sufficient volume is met.
While still offering its main client base wholesale pricing, Industrial Supply, Inc. strives to meet the needs of the small retail purchaser as well.
