Have ever gotten yourself stuck in the mud?
I did once when I was a kid, we were filling in a low area in the neighbors yard and there was water in the area. Since it was muddy already I had boots on. I walked across the area for some reason and I promptly got stuck in about 4″ of sticky mud caused by the clay soaking up the water underneath. I was stuck for like 45 minutes when I was able to use a shovel to break the suction under my boots. I was afraid to have my two friends come help me for fear they too would get stuck. They said they would go get their mom to which I said don’t as I was embarassed and also was afraid she would get stuck. Last thing I needed was a stuck mom! lol. I also remember a set of photos in the newspaper of a teenage girl that got stuck up to her chest in the mud during a river cleanup. It turned out she was one of three girls that got stuck that day. So let’s hear if you ever got stuck in the mud.
This is actually an answer to a previous question, but it pretty much answers your question exactly. lol
One of my traumatic childhood memories was when I got stuck in some mud once. 
My mother was tending to her horses on a farm when I was about 4 years old.
While I was playing in the yard, I saw a black and white cat that I then chased. The cat ran under a metal gate and into a tin-roofed shelter, so I followed it. I didn’t realise at the time that it had what appeared to be the largest cow in the word in there. Due to being small and light, the cat bounded across the muddy floor with ease, I however got my little wellied feed stuck deep into the mud, almost up to my knees.
The cow just stood there chewing hay from a trough, but I thought it would charge at me like a bull and crush me under it’s hooves. I screamed and screamed until my mother found me and picked me up.

It’s silly really. The cow was docile and uninterested in me, but I felt like my little legs were cemented to the floor with that mud and I’d never get out.
Funny how a childs mind works eh?
