- If your chinsaw is petrol powered before storing it away it to drain all fuel from the tank and don’t forget that which will be in the carburettor line. You should also drain out the oil from your chainsaw so it would not thicken.
- Checking your chain saw and draining the fuel and oil are the basic things to do in order to make sure it is in effective working condition any time you need it and to make sure you keep your upkeep costs low and you are not looking for chain saw parts.
- Inspect the teeth on the saw blade first to make sure that none of these have been damaged or broken. If you don’t then as soon as you start to cut into any wood you will find it very hard.
- Also, look at the chain and sprocket. Make sure the tension of the chain is right or again you’ll have a hard time getting the job you need done.
- Don’t forget to check the motor as well. Look for lose screws. Remove any dust or debris that might be left from the previous job done.
