How Do Adjustable Safety Vests Work?
Simply put, adjustable safety vests are normal safety vests with the ability to be adjusted. What this means is that the size of the vest can be changed, either to make it larger or smaller. In general adjustable vests can be adjusted by one or two sizes. This can be very useful for the wearer for at least two reasons, which are discussed in detail below.
Once you’ve decided you wish to purchase an adjustable vest, it’s important to first check how the vest is adjusted. It is important to note that each adjustable vest has one only one of the following three features, so be sure to read the item description before making your purchase. The majority of adjustable safety vests are adjusted in one of three ways: using plastic side snaps, hook & loop side panels, or Velcro side closures.
So why does having the ability to change sizes give adjustable safety vests an advantage over any other vest? There are two major reasons consumers pick the adjustable style over an alternative:
1. Superior fit over thick clothing – It’s starting to get cold out and that means it’s time to break out the jackets, sweatshirts and fleeces. This can spell trouble if your current safety vest is too small. Adjustable safety vests are perfect for this time of year, because they can be adjusted to fit over any bulky clothing item without stretching or tearing the vest.
2. Superior choice when purchasing for multiple employees - Numerous companies often need to order large numbers of safety vests for their employees, but it can be hard to determine the number of each size needed to fit all the workers. This problem escalates when the number of workers needing vests is in the hundreds or thousands. Adjustable safety vests help to eliminate this issue because they fit more sizes than an ordinary safety vest would.
