what is the meaning of this poem please help!?
Whatever it is, it must have
A stomach that can digest
Rubber, coal, uranium, moons, poems.
Like the shark it contains a shoe.
It must swim for miles through the desert
Uttering cries that are almost human.

What I understood from reading the poem is:
The ‘IT’ (may be a ‘poem’) must be able to well digest anything big and small, soft and hard. It must be able to put forward all kinds of stuff of this universe, including experiences and emotions.
IT has shoes that pace sharp and quickly like a shark, and it must swim through the habitats, and express the feelings of the poet. Means, it must touch the hearts of people where in the society is becoming deserted with forgetting what humanity is, and enlighten the minds humans from the words that a human can understand….
