My 2006 Jeep Liberty is making a loud noise when I drive…?
Hey guys.
Last yr I bought a 2006 Jeep Liberty. Kept up on maint, and oil changes (just this last week.) I used to have a small car which I new about every part of it, and could change the oil myself…but this Jeep is very different. When I drive the motor seems to be loud…I know that’s not enough detail but any ideas on what it might be..thanks so much <3
I have had 3 Jeeps with the 3.7 engine in my shop in the past month with the same problem. On all of these, the vehicle made noise, but also ran poorly. If yours has the same problem – and without hearing it, there’s no way anyone can tell – there is an issue with the valves in the engine. The person that brought theirs in left the shop with a $150 repair bill….the two that continued to drive theirs had to have their engines replaced.
Not trying to scare you, but the next place I’d drive your Jeep is to a repair shop and find out exactly what the noise is. Good luck!
