Min Pin Training – Controlling Yappiness
Having problems with the yappy behavior of your Min Pin? Like other dogs, Min Pin has the barking attitude. The origin of Miniature Pinscher a.k.a Min Pin
Miniature Pinschers are one of the terrier kinds of dogs which originated from Germany. They are one of the of the working dog breeds that are active in nature. This breed is usually used by the farmers to hunt for rats and stables in their farms.
Their Behavior
They are lively and feisty dog breeds. They are prone to excessive barking as they are protective to and loyal to their masters. They are very alert in nature that’s why they are very suitable to be a watchdog. However, you need to train and expose them to other people and other animals. They don’t like seeing other people and they hate other animals. So, if you will not mingle them with others they might cause trouble in the near future. They are very intelligent breed of dogs. Thus, you will not be hassled in your Min pin training sessions.
They are very active in nature. That’s why you need to let them use their energy through playing and running outside if you don’t want to end up dealing their tantrums. However, since they love to play outside, you need to secure their safety. Make sure that your yard has good fencing materials to avoid loosing your precious Min Pin. You need to deal with your Min Pin firmly. They are demanding and temperamental breeds of dog. They might cause some accidents and any other mishaps. Take note also that they are sensitive to cold temperatures, so do not expose them outside if the weather is cold.
Training your Min Pin – the yappiness behavior
Min pin training will not be too difficult for you. They are intelligent in nature and are fast learners. But, like other dogs Min pin training sessions are bets conducted when they are still puppies. You need to teach them some of the basic house rules like eating and pooping. Teaching your Min Pin to obey your commands is the key to control the yappy characteristics of your dog.
The barking behavior of dogs is part of their normal behavior as their means of communications. They are naturally expressing something like hunger, fear, etc. however, if they are barking excessively like the yappy behavior, you better go and check your dog. You need to stop them or you will surely gather an awarding complains from your neighbors. There are many ways to control the yappy behavior of your Min Pin. Here are some of the tips for Min pin training in controlling their yappy behavior:
• Simple “stop” vocal command
You can stop your Min Pin from yapping with your authoritative “STOP” command while looking them in their eyes. Most dogs communicate with their eyes.
• Authoritative or disciplinary gestures
If your Min Pin will not stop after you have said “STOP” then, why not try some disciplinary gestures. But, DON”T you ever try to hurt them physically. For sure, you will loose the opportunity of building closer relationship with your dog. You might loose your dog as well and end up in jail. Some of the friendly but disciplinary gestures include making some noise through slamming your book on the table etc. Just remember, don’t you dare to hurt your dog.
Take note:
Don’t forget to reward your Min Pin after any desirable achievement it has accomplished. You can give them food or any kinds of treats to motivate them to always obey your commands. They love to get your attention so don’t ignore them. Handle them with care and dedication. Don’t forget to be passionate to them.
