How to make a watering can from galvanized sheetmetal?
What tools are needed?
How to shape the parts?
What gauge has the best combination of easiest to work with and strongest/sturdiest?
Please provide a link to any plans if possible and/or sites explaining the proper way to work sheetmetal.

You’re obviously not knowledgeable about the methods of manufacturing prior to machines doing all the work or what tools I either have or have access to, but please provide more detail on the soft soldering. And today would be the best day to explain fitting the spout and making and fitting the handle, if you are able.
You also have not addressed the questions of gauge or provided links to back up your response.
Check out the link below for methods of tinsmithing. It offers great explanations of the tools, how to use them, and has details of a couple of projects. Even if you were to use galvanized steel or copper, or any other type of sheet metal, the process is about the same (there are a few differences for sealing/soldering that should be asked about when purchasing material)
I would use a thin sheet metal, 24 or 26 gauge. This should be easy to work and hold up well enough to pour water.
