If you can afford it, you should use laced sheets with intricate floral or geometrical patterns. Such sheets will give your bed an elegant and clean and crisp look. If you are on a budget, just select bed ensemble that has beautiful colors and romantic designs such as stylish roses and hearts in deep red or burgundy.
For an expensive look, you can opt to buy designer beddings. Your spouse’s eyes will pop if he or she sees that you did not scrimp on your beddings. Moreover, most designer beddings have beautiful designs and bright colors that can surely match the design and mood of the room.
Aside from being elegant and exquisite, you beddings should also incite romance through its smell or fragrance. Thus, you can use lavender or rose water to make your bedding fragrant. Know what scents delights your spouse, and use that scent to encourage long romantic nights of cuddling. You can use jasmine, vanilla and even chocolate scents. Experiment and be imaginative.
Please do not use cotton sheets during the first few months after your wedding. Select something that is much more romantic and luxurious to the touch such as satin or silk. A silky satin sheet, even with no design, can visually invoke pleasure and romance.
If you cannot splurge on silk sheets, just look for an alternative with a high TPI, or thread per inch. A bed sheet with a TPI over 250 is already soft and comfortable to the touch. It may not be as elegant as satin or lace sheets, but it is economical and practical.
You can make your bed and bedroom more romantic by placing the right accessories. If you cannot buy silk sheets, just use silk pillows and cashmere blankets. Moreover, set the mood by hanging nets or sheer fabric over your poster bed. You can make your fantasies real with the help of bed accessories, so don’t limit yourself and give in to your imagination.
For a more pleasurable and romantic evening, do not forget the scented candles, mood music, and dim lighting. Cover your lamp with a red scarf to achieve that rose-colored lighting.
