our small dog is having small its and i dont know what they are?
this is a little chiuahaha mungrel type dog .she is our neighbours but lives with us.we cant really bring her to the vet since shes not ours.she gets these little fits and they used to be very seldom and have become more often.its like she will spasm.her head will rise ridgid in the air,pupils dilate shell get shaky and paws and legs go rigid and cant walk very well it will only last about 1- 2 minutes.the best way to describe it is that its like she is spaced out or high on drugs .has this happened to anyone elses dogs and does anyone know what it is.
They’re called seizures. I had a Jack Russell who started getting those as she got older. How old is the dog? If it’s elderly, it’s actually sort of common for elderly dogs. If she’s younger, it’s pretty serious and she needs care NOW. But either way, I think there are pills your vet can prescribe your dog for the seizures.
