Nailing Made Fast And Easy With A Pin Nailer
There are many types of nails and each nail depends on what type of crafting project they’ll be most in use. Those in lumber is quite different in size and shape with the nails used in roofing materials together. All of these nails are called pin nails since they all have that pin-like or mushroom-like head on top but they do vary according to its uses. Nails used when panels of wood are going to be nailed together is called the panel pin nail whereas those nails for roofing are called headless pin nails.

Those who do not know anything about carpentry and woodwork would be able to recognize only the ordinary pin nail—the ones with heads and a hammer is used to drive it through the piece of material they want to stick with too. However, when pin nails are used for it definitely needs a pin nailer which is special equipment to drive them towards the material.
Convenience awaits Carpenters and woodworkers who use headless pin nailers. A pin nailer works on air pressure and shoots headless nails or pins into a trim for holding it against a wall. Hammering would take much longer time if it were done on nails whose head are quite narrower that the ordinary nail. Just with one click of the pin nailer, the nail is set. Only at the ends of the nails do hammering enters to avoid the wood-splitting. The pin nailer would anyway make the entire task a lot easier.
Here how to use a pin-nailer: first, mark all the point where you want to pin. Attach the pin nailer to the compressor and hold the trim in the correct position. With the nailer in one hand, press the nose of nailer to the wood with the other. Make sure that you start nailing from a point at least one to one and half inches from top of the trim. Begin the shooting, while holding the gun tightly against the wood. Continue the process, down the trim, putting pairs of nails or pins at regular intervals. Stop before you reach the end of the trim. Hammer in regular pins or finishing nails the ends to hold the corners.
There a lot to be saved when investing on pin nailers. Never has any carpenter complained for having invested on quality pin nailers. These gadgets come in different brands and do have extra features that vary slightly from each other. For an extra expense of $100 the Grex P635 or the Senco FinishPro 11 pin nailers do help save lots of time. The best pinners are priced just around $200. There’s the very popular Porter Cable pin nailer (the PIN100) is bargain priced at $100 and sells quite well on websites like Amazon.
