What’s a good home use air paint sprayer?
I have heard that the airless sprayers clog up real easy and just really aren’t that great, I have a compressor and am looking for a middle of the road air paint sprayer? Any recommendations? Don’t need a POS, but don’t need an industrial contractor grade either. Just need it to paint house, furniture, stain fences that kind of thing, thanks.

Graco makes good homeowner versions of their commercial airless sprayers. They’re available under slightly different trade names at Home Depot, Lowes, etc. so you can check them out. The site below is a good place to compare the spec’s and determine what best fits your needs.

EDIT: I’ve used standard air systems, HVLP, and airless systems. HVLP is my preferred system but good systems are more expensive then the rest. The cheap hand held models aren’t worth the money and don’t do a very good job.
For what you state you want to do a pressure pot system would be ideal if you went either air or HVLP, but it’s more expensive. Otherwise you’re constantly filling paint cups.
Least expensive is getting a good spray gun for your compressor. Binks and Devilabis (sp?) are good but most any will do what you want, it’s more important to get the correct needle sets for the finish you’re spraying, another expense.
In my opinion airless is the most cost effective method for you. If you were going to do projects smaller than a house and fence then I’d go HVLP.
