All About the Crimp-A-Coil Two Sided Electric Cutter Crimper

The Akiles Crimp-A-Coil is an easy to use electric coil crimper that cuts and crimps both sides of the spiral coil at the same time, cutting binding time in half. With a speed of 54 cycles per minute, which is the fastest cycle speed in its class, you can product much higher productivity in less time that you ever imagined. Benefits: The Crimp-A-Coil features electric double-sided spiral binding coil crimper with adjustable knives, which will eliminate the tedious manual spiral coil crimping process and improve productivity greatly. It works with a full range of spiral coil sizes, and will quickly and easily crimp all coils sizes from 6mm through 50mm, an unheard of feature in other electric cutter crimpers. The 50mm maximum size accommodates as many as 435 sheets of 20 lb. paper, or about a 2″ thick book. The adjustable crimper heads means there is no hassle when switching the crimper heads for different sized spiral coils. Three settings include small, (for 6-22 mm coils) medium (22-38mm coils) and large (38-50 mm coils). The Crimp-A-Coil has a special coil alignment guides that guide your coils in a well-centered position to the knives, ensuring a perfect, consistent result every time. All metal constructions makes the Crimp-A-Coil a durable machine that will last for years and years to come. The large waste catcher limits the number of trash runs, allowing you to spend more time crimping, and less time making trips to the garbage. The foot pedal operation leaves both hands open to prepare the next book, maximizing production capabilities allowing up to about 54 cycles per minute. One sided crimping has no maximum length and two sided crimping has a maximum length of 18″. The Crimp-A-Coil also features a 1 year standard manufacturers warranty, giving you the confidence you need in its sturdy construction.

Limitations: Because the Crimp-A-Coil is a strictly binding machine, it is unable to punch your papers, so a punching machine is required for full operational book binding. The machine weighs about 45 lbs. unpacked, making it ideal for stationary use, or placement on a rolling cart for easy mobility. It is 30″ L x 12″ H x 11 D, making it a bit difficult to fit on standard desks, and is truly designed for work tables with enough room to accommodate the 30″ length comfortably.

Steps for Setup: 1) Adjust the side guides on both sides of the Crimp-A-Coil according to your sheet dimensions. 2) Adjust the work table height on both sides of the Crimp-A-Coil according to your book thickness, 3) Adjust the crimper knives on both sides of the Crimp-A-Coil according to your spiral binding diameter size. 4) Adjust the crimper head positions on both sides of the Crimp-A-Coil according to your book size, and lock all handles into place. 5) Adjust the coil guide positions on both sides so that the coil can be help properly during the crimping process.
