All-Clad Panini Press: Several Advises for Users

The Panini set consists of aluminum press and two steel handles. Panini is actually a pressed sandwich. It can have different tasty stuffing. Both the press and the pan have the important advantage of having non-stick coating, so you can even manage to cook or fry without using oil or any other spray. Besides, with the help of this appliance you would be able to do these funny grill marks. You can manage doing Panini whether with press or pan, or you can use them both at once.

Advises themselves:

  1. First of all heat the pan. The advantage of the All Clad pan and press is that they heat up all along the surface so there would be no problems with using them. So, you place the pan, the medium heat level would be enough, and then put press upon it. While the pan is heating up, the press is also getting warm. Be careful: don’t put unheated (cold) press on the heated pan – it may cause unevenly cooking. When the set is ready (well heated), put away press, but make sure you don’t put it onto a surface that can melt for example. Be careful: the press is still very hot. If you are not sure, if the pan is ready for further cooking, drop some water onto the surface (a few drops, of course). If you hear the sizzle sound, be sure it is time to move to the next step…
  2. ..to cooking itself. Take some Italian bread or panino and put it into an All Clad set. It could be also some long sandwich, by the way. Before putting it into the set, you can spread bread with some oil or butter, but it is not obligatory, although in this way the bread will get a golden crust. Then you divide bread into two parts and put salami and cheese in it. Be careful with adding cheese – in case you add too much it will melt and cover the whole pan. The “traditional” part is over, and now you can free your imagination and creative feeling by adding seasonings according to your taste. The Panino is ready, take it and put into the hot pan, then put press upon it, press down, not too hard, of course. Wait until the bread will get the golden crust. Then it is done!
  3. When you will wash the All Clad set, remember several simple rules in order not to spoil it: don’t put the hot set into cold water – wait until it cools. Don’t scratch the surface with any other things except for cloth, plastic or wooden brush. That`s it.
