I saw a school (school?) of sharks in the Rhode Island Sound on the way to Block Island yesterday…?
There was about 30-40 of them passing right by the ferry. They were about 3-4 feet long and brownish/reddish on their backs. What kind of sharks were they?
Judging by the color I think maybe they are a cross between a stickleback shark and a Rhode Island chicken, but to be serious they were likely to be sandbar sharks, otherwise known as brown sharks.
