Blade Atkinson
Can anyone help me identify this bayonet, or provide more info on it? See below for a full description of it.?

The bayonet is about a foot long in total. Maybe a bit longer.
The blade is double edged, and unlike modern bayonets, it doesn’t have a blood release channel running along its length.
The handle is made of wood, is round in profile, and has a spring loaded locking clip at the base.
It bears the following markings….

At the bottom of the handle (the end closest to the user when fitted to a rifle) it has this engraved or stamped….
O.T.C.
RUG
222

At the bottom of the blade (where it meets the handle) on one side, it has this engraved or stamped….
{crows foot symbol}
WD
{crown symbol}
4.9
W
X

And on the other side of the blade at the base, it has this engraved or stamped….
VR
’92
10
ATKINSON A_N_ _

Now the crows foot symbol and the crown symbol tell me that it’s a British bayonet.

I also think the letters “VR” refer to Victoria Regina (Queen Voctoria).
And I think the ’92 refers to 1892.

That’s about as much as I can work out from it.

Swampy,

With out seeing the bayonet myself, I suggest you try these two links.
