Whats the best way to drill into an engineering brick?

Trying to drill a hole with a 1000W Bosch on the hammer setting with a 10mm masonry drill bit… but progress is very slow, 5 mins drilling only gets to like 2mm or somthing. definatly not worth drilling all 6 holes to 2 inch with!

Whats the best way to get though this brick without an SDS drill?

start out drilling a smaller hole first, then use a bigger bit…you may have to use 3 bits total..good luck
