Eclipse/tomcat questions?

I was wondering if anyone know if there’s a tutorial out on the web that steps you
through how to build a simple web page in eclipse and have it run on tomcat. I would like
the page to allow the user to enter their name to a field and it would save it to a database.

I currently have apache-tomcat-7.0.5, Eclipse Java EE IDE for Web Developers and MySql 5.1 all
downloaded on my PC but I’m not all that familiar with these tools. I’m not new to JAVA and building
web pages as I have been working on BEA 8.1.6 for around 5 years but we would like to change
to open source technologies as oracle bought BEA and it’s to much money now.

If there’s no tutorial out there any other suggestions on what I all need do that would be appreciated.
