How do you back track your computer to a different date?

I have some kind of virus that “re-directs” me to different websites. IS When I look up IMD.com it goes to the yellow pages. I was told to try and back track my computer to a different date. The guy from Microsoft said that they could help but, it’ll be $59.99! He said that I could do it myself for free with help from the website but of course, I get re-directed. Can anyone help me with this?

If you have a virus I would recommend you do nothing sensitive on that computer. No online banking, no typing in passwords. etc. until it has been completely wiped and reloaded. That being said, I don’t think you will fix your computer if you got some kind of bug by rolling it back, but here goes:

Start–>All Programs–>Accessories–>System Tools–>System Restore.
