Burner’s past For the reason that Nintendo sticks to the strategy of casettes, the frame work of Nintendo has always been bothered by fake casettes. Even at the GBA time, most of the players buy the pirated cassette. GBA time, so to say, is the enlighten time for burn card. Though many players have been accustomed to the pirated cassette, the appearance of burn card brings up a lot of newness and favorable turns to this market. The cost of the DSTT is much lower than the pirate cassette since we needn`t buy it repeatedly. That why the DSTT begins to occupy the market in this area.
We can divide the NDS GBA into two kinds which is hardware simulation and software simulation. AK series and EZ serious are belonging to the first one and the familiar R4 and DSTT are belonging to the second one. Both of them have their advantages and disadvantages, but no matter how the market might develop, they have slowly begun to replace the original single-game pirated cassettes. The year 2009 is a very important year for DSTT. The mature technology makes it be able to imitate any NDS games. And it is just this year that makes NDS game console become the mainstream handheld game console in the market.
The future of the DSTT. Although the DSTT goes on well now, there still comes many problems. The first is the update problem of game. Many players can’t play the games which has the anti-burn function at the earliest time. These games are available only once the burn card manufacturers updated the core of burn card. But along with the increased host system upgrade of NDSi, it has become more and more difficult for flashcards` survival.
EZ are likely in the near future is completely shielding with the host and network connection closer, although we believe the manufacturer has the ability to pass the upgrade. No matter in the present or in the future, flashcard as an illegal method, is used widely by players, some players uses flashcard to play games. Most people think that the players are the beneficiaries of the burncard but on the other hand they might get stuck in an embarrassing situation of having no game to play with due to the possibility that some of the manufacturers will stop updating the games because they can not get back the cost of the game production, so the ultimate victims of the burncard are still the players themselves.
